How to encourage spreading the word about a really cool shop? Easy! By detachable business cards. A sheet of colorful business cards hung in the shop and invited shoppers to tear one for themselves (after they first studied all color combinations and chose their favorite one). It kept customers shopping longer than expected, and talking to the lovely shopkeeper made the atmosphere even more pleasant. And then shopping for things became shopping for ideas…
The business cards were literally made for sharing - one corner was for you and the other one for recommending this little corner shop to others.
